This year, the event honoring the World Day of Rangers took place in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, organized by the Agency of Protected Areas, within the framework of the “Save the Nature – Georgia” project of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture and the Swedish Government. The event was held in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park.
Georgia’s protected areas are safeguarded by a dedicated team of 500 rangers, covering over 13% of the country’s territory. As is tradition, each protected area administration recognized their “Ranger of the Year,” presenting them with symbolic gifts to celebrate their contributions.
The event also served as a poignant reminder, honoring the brave rangers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
CNF awarded five nominated rangers for their outstanding performance and dedication, supported by generous donations from the German Government through BMZ/KFW.
