Kintrishi Protected Areas

Kintrishi is situated along the breathtaking gorge of the Kintishi river in the Adjara Region in south west Georgia. It’s close proximity to the Black Sea coast and the Adjara-Imereti mountains creates a barrier that traps the humid sea air and creates the humid climate that Kintrishi is known for. Visitors can find amazing waterfalls and high mountain lakes in this green lush area. The park houses unique flora including, ancient colchic forests, chestnut and hornbeam forests and yew trees; animal speicies include, brown bear, wolf, lynx and chamois.
