Before Kathrin was appointed as the Director Asia of WWF Germany, she was leading the Eastern Himalayas and Tiger Conservation Programme within the organisation.

In all of her 16 year career, Kathrin has always worked in the field of conservation, focusing on forest and species conservation in Asia.

As a German citizen, Kathrin has a Master of Science in Forestry and Sustainable Resource Management (Technical University of Munich). Before the pandemic outbreak, she lived in Nepal with her husband and her two sons and is now back in Berlin.
